Strategic Operations Leader for SaaS Growth

Position Overview
The Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across our organization, working closely with the CEO and executive team. This dynamic individual will identify and fill operational gaps, particularly in early-stage departments, and support functional areas by owning and solving problems. This position is crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of our strategic initiatives and bridging gaps across departments.
This role will act as a force multiplier for the CEO, enabling the leadership team to focus on growth and innovation. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to shaping the future of our company and making a meaningful impact in the water treatment industry.
About You
We are seeking a seasoned professional with significant experience in scaling SaaS companies, particularly in roles involving Marketing, Sales, and Product management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage complex projects. You will be a proactive self-starter with a flexible approach, comfortable with adapting to changing priorities and environments.
You will have a proven track record of success in operational management, strategic planning, and scaling SaaS companies. Your expertise will help drive growth at Pani Energy, optimizing go-to-market strategies, refining product-market fit, enhancing customer acquisition and retention, and improving operational efficiency across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify operational and administrative gaps in earlier-stage departments, taking ownership of these gaps and implementing process improvements.
- Step into functional areas to understand problems in detail, identify root causes, and create project plans, managing these plans until issues are resolved or handed over to department staff.
- Assist the CEO with ongoing needs, including preparing presentations for board meetings, investor updates, company operational updates, all-hands meetings, and key external events.
- Lead strategic projects critical to the company's growth, working closely with the CEO to ensure these projects align with the company's vision and objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role, COO, CEO, Operational Senior Leader, with a proven track record of success in operational management, strategic planning, and scaling SaaS companies.
- Extensive experience in Marketing, Sales, and Product management, with a deep understanding of how these functions intersect to drive growth.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high-impact projects from inception to completion.
- Experience working directly with C-level executives, with the ability to influence and drive decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
Benefits and Compensation
Pani offers a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive health & dental benefits and paid time off. The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $100,000 to $150,000.
