About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our Transitional Care Centre team in Bedford, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets and directs visitors, responds to inquiries, and provides routine information to clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Performs a wide range of typing assignments, including confidential documents, and operates a personal computer to enter data, draft, edit, and print letters, tables, and reports.
  • Maintains and distributes nursing forms, prepares photocopies and facsimiles, and operates various office equipment.
  • Performs basic bookkeeping functions, establishes, maintains, processes, and updates files, records, and other documents.
  • Monitors fire alarm and security systems, and follows safety and security procedures.
  • May book medical appointments and arrange transportation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a graduate of an approved office administration or professional secretarial diploma or university degree, and five years of related experience. You will possess essential secretarial skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and confidentiality.
