Job Title: Assistant Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team at The Shoe Co. as a key member of our leadership team.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and contributing to the overall success of the store by driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Facilitate achievement of business results by role modeling a shopping experience that encourages uniquely responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, and operational integrity that will encourage positive customer connections and loyalty.
- Lead an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
- Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes.
- Achieve company objectives and enhance The Shoe Co. brand image by modeling our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/humility.
- Develop and implement agile business plans to achieve results.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and change advocacy within the store and district.
- Maintain effective, open lines of communication with the Store Manager.
Requirements:
- Proven success in the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
- Proficiency in computer use, including email, MS Word or other word processing program, and Excel or other spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while also being committed to creating a compelling customer experience.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in progressive retail supervisory role.
- Ability to work days, closing shifts, and weekends.
