Deduction Resolution Specialist

As a Deduction Resolution Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of customer payments and resolving deductions in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze customer deductions to ensure accurate coding, reporting, and financial impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to minimize deduction issues and improve invoice accuracy.
- Drive results with sales and sales support on pre-determined deduction metrics and timely follow-up with customers on invalid deductions.
- Escalate deduction issues to Team Manager and Sales team.
- Collect outstanding unauthorized deductions that customers agreed to repay.
- Address promotion setup accuracy versus customer deduction and promotional programs.
- Be familiar with costing sheets, deal sheets, contracts, and promotions for assigned customers.
- Work on special projects as required.
- Backup support for team members as required.
- Work closely with Trade Spend Analysts for claims accuracy and post-audit research.
- Provide insight to Supply Chain partners to support cost savings and avoidance opportunities, along with support of scorecard adherence.
- Responsible for idea generation, maintenance, and utilization of department tools and dashboards to identify customer payment trends and opportunities through data analysis.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive customer behavior improvements.
- Manage a combination of daily responsibilities and special projects to support current business activities and needs.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree or relevant experience required.
- 1 year of related business experience.
- Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Must be positive, passionate, and willing to make a difference.
- Intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivot Table, Formulas).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills needed in managing complex business situations and achieving objectives, meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs of the business.
- Ability to display indirect leadership across other functional areas to accomplish company goals.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
