Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to lead our Engineered Tubular Products team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive growth and revenue.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership in implementing the sales strategy, policies, and procedures for Engineered Tubular Products.
  • Develop effective relationships with team members within the organization to provide effective service to our customers and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales budget, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Implement sales programs by developing sales actions and collaborate with sales team to understand customer requirements.
  • Maintain sales volume and product mix by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Utilize a high level of self-direction to plan sales calls with appropriate frequency & priority and communicate activities effectively to sales staff & other departments.
  • Collaborate with sales team to promote the sale of company products and services and provide sales support.
  • Lead the effective implementation of new programs and products and participate in monthly SOP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings.
  • Solicit inquiries and work with customer service representatives to ensure timely & competitive quotations and provide timely quotation follow up in conjunction with CSR & agents.
  • Participate in or attend trade shows on behalf of Samuel, Son & Co. as directed.
  • Collaborate with ATG team members, personnel from other divisions of SSCL & Corporate Marketing to facilitate lead development & generate cross-selling opportunities.
  • Assist sales agents and provide appropriate guidance to maximize customer contact; ensuring local sales contact is maintained.
Requirements:
  • Sales Management experience in the manufacturing sector; preferably steel and metals related servicing Industrial, OEM and Distribution and/or Stainless Steel and Specialty Alloy tubing markets.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent with courses in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration plus a broad sales/marketing experience of five or more years; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Territory requires North America travel – USA, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Strong communication skills - written, oral and presentation.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with or without direct supervision.
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
