Our client, a renowned Canadian leader in maritime safety, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to drive international sales initiatives. Reporting to the President and CEO, you will play a key role in expanding our global presence in the maritime, defense, and upstream energy sectors.

Headquartered in St. John's, NL, we specialize in advanced training simulators that provide small craft crews with realistic training for high-stakes scenarios. As we continue to grow, we require a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of transforming maritime training worldwide.

The Role

We are offering a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as comprehensive benefits and a healthy work-life balance. As a Technical Sales Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and engaging new enterprise (B2B) customers worldwide
  • Presenting, promoting, and selling our products and custom solutions to existing and potential clients using proven sales methodologies
  • Building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline across sectors such as upstream energy, maritime training, defense, and Coast Guard/Search and Rescue (SAR)

You will also be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to revenue recognition, conducting market research to inform targeted sales initiatives, and developing and supporting an international dealer network to expand our market presence.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5-10 years of sales experience in the maritime, defense, upstream energy sectors or similar industries, with a proven record of sales achievement
  • Established expertise in maritime training, upstream energy, defense, and Coast Guard/SAR industries
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field

A strong technical knowledge base, excellent organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and social media tools are essential for this position.
