As a Director, Business Development, Alberta and Prairies, you will play a crucial role in driving mortgage originations and building strong relationships with broker clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Stay up-to-date on Strive's mortgage products, services, and innovative technologies, as well as competitor offerings.
  2. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Mortgage Insurance products, services, and eligibility.
  3. Identify and nurture long-term broker relationships, increase originations, and expand the broker network in the Alberta and Prairies region.
  4. Establish and meet commitment targets for broker relationships, supporting Strive's overall origination plan.
  5. Effectively communicate and market Strive's products and services to existing and new broker clients, presenting to various group sizes.
  6. Highlight the benefits of Strive to broker clients, including a better lending experience, exceptional service, and innovative leadership.
  7. Create a marketing sales plan, including annual and quarterly goals, and volume forecasting; meet with broker owners and their brokers, obtain business volume commitments, and forecast results and estimate total potential business volumes.
  8. Escalate issues, obstacles, or trends to Senior Management as appropriate, with recommendations and solutions.
  9. Manage assigned budgets effectively.
  10. Attend and participate in broker-related industry events throughout the region, both within and outside regular working hours.
  11. Prepare weekly sales logs and appointment schedules.
  12. Provide industry-competitive analysis, including pricing, products, and programs, to the Vice President, National Sales.
  13. Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with a focus on sales and/or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum of two years' experience in the mortgage industry, including experience working with third-party vendors and external partners.
  3. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high aptitude for building client relationships.
  4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  5. Competency in Microsoft Office and capacity to learn new technologies and systems, such as CRM.
