About SchoolBOX:

SchoolBOX is a registered Canadian charity with the simple mission of 'making education possible' for all kids. Our organization was founded in 2006 with the gift of a notebook and pencil to two girls in Nicaragua, enabling them to attend school that year. We quickly evolved into building libraries and classrooms and supporting kids each year.

SchoolBOX now works with First Nations, Métis and Inuit leaders to 'make education possible' for kids in Indigenous communities across Canada, focusing on Treaty 3 in Northern Ontario. We collaborate with local youth, leaders, and Chief & Council to implement educational goals of each community. We assist with funding lunch programs, libraries, and learning centres, which can include new libraries, computers, and resource spaces, empowering kids from kindergarten to grade 12 in their educational journeys.

Our Mission:

We are on a mission to make education possible for all kids. We believe that education is the key to unlocking the potential of every child, and we are committed to working with Indigenous communities to provide access to quality education.

Our Values:

We value the importance of community, accountability, and sustainability. We believe in empowering our team to make a difference in the lives of children and communities.
