About the Role

The Technical Proposal Writer will be responsible for creating high-quality proposals related to building/property condition assessments, energy audits, and engineering design activities. This position requires strong research and writing skills, as well as the ability to format information according to company policies and obtain supervisor approval.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and gather information to support proposal development.
  • Write and organize proposal content in a professional and credible manner.
  • Edit and customize proposal content as required.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform proposal development.
  • Develop and maintain proposal templates under the guidance of the business development and operations team.
  • Attend meetings and identify opportunities for proposal writing.
  • Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality proposals.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in an applicable or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Experience in Marketing/Communication and strong organizational skills.
  • Past experience in SharePoint software.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of word processing software.
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role is performed primarily in an office setting. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, crouch, hear, and talk. Employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.
