Position Overview:

As a Proposal Specialist, you will support the business development and expansion of Altus Group's Development Advisory Group. This role will specifically focus on proposals, including research, analysis, development, tracking, and writing proposals for potential and existing clients, along with some content management duties. The Proposal Specialist will demonstrate exceptional skills in Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is also considered beneficial. Additionally, strong writing abilities are essential. We seek an individual who can research and comprehend our services and client needs, then translate that understanding into concise, clear, and persuasive content. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and providing support to senior professionals throughout the complete proposal/presentation preparation cycle for engagement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with management, technical, proposal, and marketing teams to deliver proposals tailored to each project's unique requirements and timelines. Ensure proposals are submitted through the prescribed methods (online, hand-delivered, etc.) by deadlines. Search relevant procurement platforms for potential opportunities as lead consultants and sub-consultants. Enter leads in Salesforce and update as they progress to proposals and jobs. Generate reports for technical staff to follow up on pending proposals. Coordinate with various departments (IT, HR, etc.) to gather information pertinent to standard responses required for proposals. Conduct research to draft new material and/or update existing content.

Position Requirements:

Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business, English, Communications, Journalism, or other relevant fields 1-3 years of experience in writing environments Understanding of professional services / construction / real estate industry Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical writing Ability to interact and build relationships with management and staff at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage people and information to create high-quality documents under pressure: demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing demands. Superior MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel; SharePoint; Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce experience considered an asset; ability to learn new software as required. Must be able to create visually appealing proposals and informational materials, format, insert photos/graphics, manipulate layout, etc. in accordance with Altus Group branding guidelines.
