We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Development Specialist to join our Business Development team at City Build Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients Business Development efforts by creating persuasive proposals to secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the development of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other marketing materials to effectively showcase our clients expertise and win new business.
- Collaborate closely with technical staff, project managers, and senior leadership to produce competitive proposals that meet client objectives and drive business growth.
- Develop proposal layouts and graphics to enhance visual appeal and professionalism, utilizing layout design software to create engaging and effective content.
- Identify trends, best practices, and areas for improvement in proposal development processes, making recommendations for enhancements and assisting in implementing changes as needed.
- Manage proposal timelines and deadlines effectively, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance, and seeking guidance as needed to ensure timely submission.
- Facilitate proposal kick-off meetings and regular check-ins to ensure alignment and progress, and create presentations to support the pursuit team during the project interview process.
- Maintain and update project descriptions, corporate/department profiles, CVs, bios for technical staff, and our photography database to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize CRM software to track proposal status, win/loss records, and other relevant metrics to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Assist in the development of marketing collateral, including brochures, project sheets, and case studies, to support business development efforts.
- Participate in marketing and business development meetings to stay informed about upcoming opportunities and industry trends, and contribute to the development of strategic business plans.
- Assist with various tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors or senior team members to support the overall success of the team and company objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in technical writing, proposals, or a business development role, with a strong background in proposal development and marketing.
- Architecture and/or engineering proposal experience is an asset, as is proficiency in layout design software and CRM systems.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to analyze data and interpret results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and develop in the field of proposal development, with a strong commitment to quality, client focus, teamwork, sustainability, and community.
