About This Opportunity:

We are seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator to join our team at Cambrian College's School of Health and Wellness.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide administrative support services to enhance the efficiency and level of service provided through the departmental office. This includes acting as a liaison between the Dean, Chair, students, faculty, and external partners, completing general administrative duties such as scheduling, attending and taking minutes for meetings, and coordinating office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the Dean, Chair, students, faculty, and external partners
  • Complete general administrative duties such as scheduling, attending and taking minutes for meetings, and coordinating office operations
  • Monitor and record attendance for full and part-time employees and prepare bi-weekly payroll reports
  • Coordinate all matters related to the Dean's schedule, ensuring that appointments are made when necessary or appropriate referrals made
  • Maintain an orderly and welcoming office environment, greeting all visitors in a professional manner and assisting visitors in locating campus resources and services
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the office by developing, implementing, and maintaining effective and efficient office procedures
  • Coordinate and support Program Advisory Committee meetings

Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A two-year postsecondary diploma, or equivalent, preferably within Administrative Assistant, Office Administration, or Business Administration
  • Five years of experience as an administrative assistant within an educational setting, with experience working within a health care environment
  • A high level of accuracy, confidentiality, integrity, and tact
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • The ability to work as a member of a team and work independently

Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
