About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Hook Line & Sinker. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our commitment to using only the freshest and highest-quality ingredients.
  • Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of all kitchen supplies and ingredients to ensure that we are always stocked and ready to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to our health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to help our kitchen staff improve their skills and advance their careers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, leadership and management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
