Business Development Representative for Emerging Markets

We are seeking a driven Sales Representative to join our MagicPace sales team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success and direction of our growth across Canada and the US.
About the OpportunityAs a Sales Representative, you will close technical recruiting mandates with high-growth technology startups. You'll work directly with our founders to craft new sales strategies and build outbound/outreach campaigns to drive new mandates.
Main Responsibilities- Build a scalable, repeatable outbound sales pipeline.
- Build a network of referral sources within the startup ecosystem.
- Understand customer objections and recommend tailored solutions.
- Prepare customized proposals and close agreements.
- Debrief our recruiters for each mandate, ensuring a clear understanding of the role before kicking-off.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying upselling and reselling opportunities.
- Collaborate with recruiters to ensure a seamless search/placement process.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and transactions in the CRM.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 2+ years of experience in field sales, with a strong preference for candidates with experience selling directly to clients.
- Demonstrated experience in cold outbound and building own sequences.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a builder mentality, be able to build processes from the ground up, adjust based on results, and have a solid ability to build rapport, engage in active listening, and foster trust among clients and collaborators.
