About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DEIB Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Envision Financial. As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing strategies that foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development and Implementation: Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive DEIB talent acquisition strategy that aligns with our organization's purpose and values.
  • Diversity Advancement: Drive the implementation of initiatives that promote the retention and advancement of a diverse and high-caliber workforce, utilizing an intersectional lens to enhance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Candidate Experience: Develop and implement strategies to ensure a positive and inclusive candidate experience, from initial outreach to onboarding.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, job seekers from equity-deserving groups, and relevant communities and organizations to ensure culturally respectful interactions with all candidates.
  • Program Management: Manage and improve recruitment programs, such as our Student Hiring Program and the Launi Skinner Indigenous Scholarship and Bursary Program.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist the Talent Acquisition team with sourcing and recruitment for equity-deserving groups and recruitment of talent for specialized positions.
  • Emerging Practices and Legislation: Stay up-to-date on emerging hiring practices, legislation, and trends related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and provide guidance and support to hiring teams.
  • Onboarding and Integration: Support an equitable and accessible onboarding process to enhance the success of new employees during their first two years of employment.
Requirements
  • 3 years of recent experience working directly with equity-deserving groups and communities and as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Business or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience is required.
  • Experience in talent acquisition with a focus on DEIB is required.
  • Strong understanding of DEIB principles and best practices is required.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace is required.
  • Lived experience as an equity-deserving group member is preferred, with a deep understanding of a variety of cultures, traditions, and the unique challenges faced by equity-deserving job seekers.
  • Experience working in a financial institution and/or credit union industry is preferred.
