Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager to join our team at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global strategy for equity, diversity, and inclusion that aligns with our organization's values, mission, and business goals.
  • Research, develop, recommend, and drive creative, best-in-class EDI solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to integrate EDI into all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Facilitate training and workshops to educate employees on the importance of diversity and inclusion.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on key metrics related to the equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on diversity and inclusion, providing guidance and consultation to senior leadership, management, and employees.
  • Lead the company's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), fostering an environment where everyone feels they belong.
  • Partner and drive IDLC activities and effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to champion diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of legislation, regulations, reporting, and best practices related to EDI.
  • Review company policies to ensure compliance and promote best practices.
  • Develop internal communications that would increase employee engagement and transparency regarding EDI initiatives.
  • Work closely with external partners, assistants, vendors, and other stakeholders to optimize partnership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience of operationalizing inclusion and diversity strategies and best practices.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficient in data analysis to track and improve diversity metrics.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with an ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience operating in a global environment with understanding of diverse regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Self-motivated and successful in operating independently with limited oversight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Tableau.
