Job Description

As a Process Documentation and Control Specialist, you will collaborate with the Canadian Total Benefits team to develop and improve written working procedures. You will partner with the Director, Benefits & Well-Being to create new controls that enhance the financial management and governance of Sun Life's Total Benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review existing process documentation and conduct interviews with Total Benefits team members to understand processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate operational activities that require process documentation and develop a structured approach for documenting all operational activities.
  • Develop process notes and online manuals for the Total Benefits team to use for new hire training.
  • Identify and implement preventative, detective, and corrective controls to ensure processes are maintained and identify breakdowns in critical steps.
  • Train Total Benefits team members on changes to processes and controls.
Requirements
  • Experience documenting processes and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Autonomous learner with deep curiosity to learn total benefits and well-being programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills, with experience working with benefit and well-being programs an asset.
