Role Overview



The Director of Continuing Care will lead the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Continuing Care services and programs at the zone level within the context of Continuing Care as a provincial program.



This role requires strong leadership skills in a healthcare environment, with the ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and clients.



About the Opportunity

As a key member of the health system, the Director will be responsible for ensuring continuing care expertise is provided to stakeholders and clients, and for leading the Continuing Care leadership team at the zone level.



Key responsibilities include:




  • Maintaining a culture of quality improvement and customer service
  • Developing and executing plans based on evidence
  • Building and maintaining effective partnerships
  • Providing advice and assistance to senior directors and vice presidents


To be successful in this role, you will have:




  • Baccalaureate degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years recent and related leadership/management experience in a healthcare field
  • Demonstrated commitment to a philosophy of independence for those who require care and to the utilization of evidence to inform practice
  • Strong human resource management, financial management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Evidence of success in developing a culture of continuous quality improvement within the service

Compensation

$53.91 - $71.63 Hourly
