Job Summary
Alberta Health Services (AHS) seeks a skilled Healthcare Workforce Strategist to support and manage the Medical Staff workforce. The successful candidate will work closely with Medical Affairs staff, physicians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that promote effective physician recruitment and retention.

Responsibilities
The Healthcare Workforce Strategist will have the following key responsibilities:

- Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to meet the needs of AHS Clinical Departments
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs staff, physicians, and other stakeholders to identify and address workforce gaps
- Conduct research and analysis to inform workforce planning decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including Covenant Health, University of Alberta, and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:

- An undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration, Business, Economics, Arts/Sciences, Nursing, or other equivalent preparation
- At least 3-5 years' experience in Physician Services or Health Services provider environment
- Superior skills in communication, analysis, critical and creative thinking, and facilitation
- Knowledge/expertise in program planning & project management (theories, principles, practices and processes)

What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and disability insurance, and a generous pension plan.
