About the Role
As an Area Sales Manager at Afimilk, you will bring your passion and drive to the dairy industry. You will take ownership of the North Island territory, building strong relationships with new and current Afimilk farmers and dealers.
You will hunt for new business across the North Island of New Zealand, developing quotes and closing sales with targeted farmers for Afimilk's products. You will work collaboratively with the NZ Sales and Business Development Manager for sales forecasting and visibility of business opportunities.
You will lead generation, negotiations, development, and implementation of contracts and agreements for Afimilk's farmers to get them the best result. You will train and mentor Afimilk's dealer organisations on the sale of Afimilk products and solutions.
You will assist Afimilk's dealers with sales calls and closing of project sales. You will offer input and implementation of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness for Afimilk NZ and in turn increase sales for the NZ market.
You will be the face of Afimilk, represent the business and brand at a range of industry events, conferences, and trade shows. You will utilise Afimilk's CRM (Salesforce) software strategically for all dealer and customer interactions.
About You
This role requires a professional who can offer previous experience working from home and is comfortable travelling often, visiting farmers and dealers. You will need to have an office set up and be comfortable working autonomously.
You will need passion for agriculture and more specifically the dairy industry. You must be able to manage your time effectively while working from home and travelling on the road.
At least 5 years of technical sales experience within the NZ agricultural sector are required. An impressive history working within the NZ Dairy market is also essential.
You will have exposure and interest in Dairy Farming Technology and technology overall. You will be able to take ownership and accountability for your workload, asking for help when needed and prioritising your time effectively.
You will have exposure to CRM systems, Salesforce, or the willingness to learn this platform. Professional and ethical behaviour in your sales approach is expected.
