Baker Tilly CK, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team of professionals in Chatham. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a vital role in helping our professionals grow and continue to provide top-quality assurance and tax services to our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full life cycle of recruitment, from job posting and assisting with interviews, to creation of offer letters and onboarding, to attract top talent and ensure a seamless hiring process;
- Develop and implement retention strategies, including stay interviews and employee events, to foster a positive and inclusive work environment;
- Manage off-boarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for departing employees;
- Provide guidance and support to employees and partners on HR-related matters, including performance management and employee development;
- Advise the Partner group on all matters relevant to changes in provincial and federal labour laws;
- Update HR policies, as needed, in conjunction with our Partner group;
- Collaborate with other HR professionals in our National network on National HR projects.
- Previous experience in HR, preferably in a professional services industry;
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work as a team in a fast-paced environment;
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
- Team player mentality and a self-starter attitude;
- Understanding of professional services industries is considered an asset.
