Electrical Project Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Service Project Manager/Estimator to join our team at Nightingale Electrical Ltd.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for commercial construction projects, residential building retrofit work, and sales centers for our construction partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate quotations for tender submissions, including material, labor, equipment, and other costs.
- Review and understand tender specifications and drawings to develop competitive bids.
- Manage and evaluate the estimating process to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Manage and incorporate scope changes.
- Engage suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for estimates.
- Develop innovative ideas to maximize cost savings and increase competitiveness.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, and answer questions.
- Participate in closing, startup, and wrap-up meetings and debriefs after project completion.
- Communicate with the installation team to assist with cost control and project status.
- Lead, organize, and coach a crew of workers to install equipment according to electrical drawings.
- Provide timely updates on progress and forecasting trends to the General Manager.
- Help manage a team of Service Technicians and Apprentices to meet and complete project objectives.
- Prepare billing materials and information for project billing each month.
- Process and price Change Orders for ongoing projects.
- Work with the site team to create accurate schedules and meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- Electrical Red Seal or FSR Certificate.
- Diploma in Project/Construction Management (an asset).
- 2 or more years of experience as a Project Manager/Estimator for electrical projects.
- Experience in construction estimating.
- Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices, and standards.
- Knowledge of engineering software and engineering skills (an asset).
- Experience with ACCUBID estimating software (an asset).
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Demonstrated organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Scheduling, cost control, and contract management experience.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn processes quickly and prioritize client requirements.
