Job Title: Junior Electrical Designer/Engineer-in-Training


We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Electrical Designer/Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team on a full-time basis.



Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical engineering feasibility studies under the supervision of a senior engineer. The candidate will also be required to prepare project documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and estimates.


In addition, the applicant will be expected to prepare system layouts, details, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and building schedules, as well as perform load, lighting, voltage drop, and fault calculations. Site surveys and inspections will also be a part of the job.


The candidate will be working collaboratively with other electrical designers and engineers to deliver high-quality engineering services to our clients.



Requirements


To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a good understanding of technical design and project management skills. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, as well as 1-3 years of experience in lighting, power, fire alarm, communication, security, A/V, and PA system design.


The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of the CEC, BCBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, ULC, NEMA, TIA/EIA, IEEE, etc., and be proficient with Auto CAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc. Experience in project management and coordination, as well as exceptional communication and organization skills, are also essential.


EIT or P. Eng. registration in BC is preferred, but not required.
