Construction Renewal Project Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to join our team at New City Contracting Ltd. in Richmond, BC.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, including procurement, scope, scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, communications, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Scheduling Manager to update project schedules and ensure timely completion.
- Monitor and update daily sign-in and sign-out via Sitemax to maintain a high level of productivity.
- Stay up-to-date with Accounts Payable and TimberScan to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review Markup Schedule of Values to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Review and approve T&M records to maintain accurate financial records.
- Approve material orders and ensure timely deliveries to minimize delays.
- Attend site meetings with trades and engineers to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Meet with Property Managers and residents as needed to address any concerns or issues.
- Coordinate with all trades to address and resolve any issues efficiently.
- Oversee work with trades, site superintendents, foremen, project coordinators, and tenant liaisons to ensure seamless project execution.
- Follow up on SVR and SI to ensure trade completeness and QA.
- Issue POs, COs, CRs, and RFIs as required, including review and release.
- Collaborate with the BD team to ensure all scopes are covered and properly documented.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, coordinating construction activities to minimize disruption.
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, though a related degree or diploma is acceptable.
- At least three years of experience in a management role and/or five years of experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise construction.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Ability to manage coordination efforts in construction maintenance projects involving various stakeholders, such as architects, project engineers, and subcontractors.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in preparing and conducting post-implementation evaluations.
- Ability to create realistic schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Demonstrated cost control measures and strong project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands effectively.
