Business Development Representative

Rome Logistics Group is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and managing your own book of business through business-to-business cold calling, prospecting for new business, and negotiating rates with freight carriers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage your own book of business through business-to-business cold calling and prospecting for new business
- Follow up with new and existing clients to provide freight solutions and close deals
- Negotiate rates with freight carriers
- Coordinate with Account Managers and Logistics Coordinators to ensure client needs and expectations are met
- Post-secondary schooling in a relevant field or relatable industry experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Keen attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong drive with a go-getter attitude
