About the Role

Rome Logistics Group is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and managing your own book of business through business-to-business cold calling, prospecting for new business, and negotiating rates with freight carriers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage your own book of business through business-to-business cold calling and prospecting for new business
  • Follow up with new and existing clients to provide freight solutions and close deals
  • Negotiate rates with freight carriers
  • Coordinate with Account Managers and Logistics Coordinators to ensure client needs and expectations are met
Requirements
  • Post-secondary schooling in a relevant field or relatable industry experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Keen attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong drive with a go-getter attitude
