Business Development Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and meeting with potential clients
  • Organize and conduct sales visits to meet with clients and prospects
  • Clarify customer and client requirements and recommend suitable products or services
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports
  • Develop and deliver presentations and demonstrations to clients and prospects
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to build relationships and stay informed
  • Prepare and submit tenders and proposals to clients
  • Review and analyze sales performance and provide insights for improvement
Key Skills:
  • Strong technical and sales skills, with a deep understanding of the Managed IT sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Commercial awareness and a keen understanding of market trends and competitor activity
  • A meticulous and logical approach to work, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets and quotas
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Technology Equipment Sales/Services/Software related sales management
  • Creativity and a high energy level, with a passion for sales and business development
  • A proven track record of sales success, with strong training and coaching skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Well-developed organizational, sales leadership, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
