Job Opportunity

IWK Health Centre, a renowned academic health sciences centre, is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to join its team in the Diagnostic Imaging department. The successful candidate will be responsible for various duties associated with the booking process of breast imaging province wide.

Responsibilities
  • Booking appointments and managing client records in a database system.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by answering phone calls and responding to inquiries.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate client information to ensure seamless appointment scheduling.
Requirements
  • A minimum of six (6) months of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and database management systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will work variable weekday shifts between 0800 and 2000 hours, with occasional Saturdays on rotation. A total of 49 hours bi-weekly is expected.
