The OpportunityThis role offers a unique opportunity to support patient care in diagnostic imaging. As a Technical Assistant, you will work under the supervision of the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for imaging exams, assisting technologists, radiologists, and clerical personnel, and demonstrating initiative while working independently within the framework of diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities- Support patient preparation and assist diagnostic imaging staff in day-to-day operations
- Interact with patients, families, team members, and referring clinicians in a respectful and collaborative manner
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; previous experience preferred
- Proficiency in MEDITECH Magic modules, such as Radiology (RAD) and centre-wide scheduling (CWS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
We offer competitive salaries and benefits, including a starting hourly rate of $22.03-$25.75 per hour based on qualifications and experience. This position is part of the Healthcare bargaining unit and preference is given to bargaining unit employees. An offer of employment is conditional upon satisfactory background checks and confirmation of credentials.
