Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is a key member of the Finance team at Worldsource Wealth Management, responsible for processing all payables for the company and its subsidiaries. This role involves providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor payments and employee expense reimbursement claims by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, credit memos, or other requests.
- Record expenses, purchases, and reimbursement claims to appropriate accounts and cost centers on a timely basis.
- Queue payments for release as they come due with appropriate lead time.
- Correspond with vendors and employees in a professional manner to build relationships and resolve disputes.
- Prepare funds transfers, including wires, ACH, EFTs, and cheques.
- Issue stop-payments or similar.
- Assist with other day-to-day banking activities, including bank deposits and uploading of positive pay files.
- Maintain historical records by filing documents electronically and physically, where appropriate.
- Continuously improve the payment process.
- Provide support to others on the Finance team and to management.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education.
- Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with accounting software packages preferred, Multiview Financials, an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, and ability to analyze information.
- Strong data entry and math skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working within a team environment.
- Possess a thorough understanding of vendor relationships and accounting concepts.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
