About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computer Service Technician to join our team at WiFi Computers. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair for our clients' computer hardware and software issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies to diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust, align, replace, or repair electronic equipment and assemblies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports to ensure accurate records of service provided.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for repair and maintenance services.
  • Blueprint and Drawing Interpretation: Read blueprints and drawings to understand technical specifications and requirements.
Technical Requirements
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Network and Wireless Expertise: Knowledge of networks, wireless networks, and wireless routers.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain high levels of attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
  • Work under Pressure: Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Experience and Education
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Foreign Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
