About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computer Service Technician to join our team at WiFi Computers. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing electronic equipment and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Electronic Equipment: Use specialized tools to identify and diagnose faults in computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and Locate Faults: Utilize technical knowledge to identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions and develop effective solutions.
  • Repair and Replace Equipment: Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of electronic equipment and assemblies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete Work Orders and Reports: Accurately document work completed, including test results and maintenance records.
  • Prepare Cost Estimates: Provide detailed estimates for repair and maintenance services.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret technical diagrams and blueprints to understand equipment specifications and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in computer hardware repair and maintenance.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Networks and Wireless Technology: Understanding of networks, wireless networks, and wireless routers.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
