Role Overview

The Foundation Coordinator will play a key role in advancing our mission by planning, organizing, and executing community events, collaborating with local governments, and managing grants. This position requires strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for environmental sustainability and community development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Community Engagement: Plan and execute community events that align with our mission, including nature-based initiatives, community development projects, and health and wellness programs.
  • Government Liaison: Collaborate with local governments to advance our mission, including supporting ecological initiatives and underserved communities.
  • Grant Management: Identify, apply for, and manage grants that will maximize our impact.
  • Mission Execution: Develop and implement strategies to fully realize our mission, ensuring all activities align with our goals.
  • Charity Recommendations: Research and recommend charities that align with our mission and are worthy of donations.
  • Administrative Planning: Manage both the day-to-day operations and high-level planning of our initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Founder and Head of Finance of BoxOne Ventures to align our activities with strategic vision and financial planning.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, or a related area.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English and French).
  • Government Relations: Proven ability to work with local governments and community organizations.
  • Grant Writing: Experience in grant writing and fundraising.
  • Passion: Passion for environmental sustainability and community development.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
