About the Role

The Programme Coordinator, Reconciliation, will support the work of the Reconciliation sphere of interest by developing and implementing the strategy for this sphere of interest and engaging with communities in various aspects of ongoing activities. This role will play a crucial support function by reviewing grant requests, tracking these requests, collaborating with reconciliation partners, and providing comprehensive administrative support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Programme Support: Assist the Director of Programmes, Reconciliation, in planning, communicating, and operationalizing the Foundation's objectives and commitments in the area of reconciliation.
  • Administration: Coordinate comprehensive administrative support for the contribution process of the Reconciliation sphere of interest and support the receipt, review, and tracking of grant requests.
  • Collaboration and Representation: Interact in a professional manner with community partners, representing the Foundation, its values, and its commitments to reconciliation, and exploring new opportunities to concretize the spirit and intent of reconciliation in Canada, thereby increasing the scope of the Foundation's efforts in policy and practice.
Requirements
  • Bilingualism: Functional bilingualism with excellent oral and written skills in English or French.
  • Experience and Understanding: Experience and understanding of non-profit organizations and initiatives serving communities.
  • Experience: Three to four years of experience in programme administration and programme support.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Cultural Competence: Adherence to Indigenous frameworks and practices.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel.

  • Group Facilitation and Coordination: Experience in facilitating and coordinating groups.
