Key Responsibilities
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas.
  • Culinary Skills: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • Staff Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a chef or in a related role.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, and time management skills.
