Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at DS3 McLeod N Sons Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and presented in an attractive manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and supervisory experience. You will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all tasks are completed to the required standard
  • Plan and prepare menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and equipped
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring that we are operating within budget
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably with supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
