Salary

The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate of $25.29-$25.94, reflecting our commitment to fair compensation for skilled professionals like you.



About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Program Assistant to join our Memory Residence team at Baycrest. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to residents with dementia. Your expertise as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) will enable you to provide individualized support and promote independence, autonomy, and well-being among our residents.




  • You will be responsible for implementing daily care plans, ensuring the physical and personal needs of residents are met, including hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • You will develop strong relationships with residents, families, and care providers, fostering trust, open communication, and collaboration.
  • You will contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive environment by planning and facilitating recreational activities, social events, and educational programs.
  • You will work closely with the Curator to design and implement resident-centered programs and services, aligning with our Possibilities by Baycrest model.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:



  • A current PSW certificate from a recognized community college or equivalent experience.
  • Registration in good standing with the Ontario Personal Support Worker Registry.
  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia in residential settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
