Job SummaryThis is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $55,000-$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of daily programs and activities, including mealtime experiences, social events, and recreational activities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents
- Collaborate with the recreation team to design and deliver engaging activities and programs
- Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring a positive dining experience for residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their physical and mental well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control practices and regulations
- Diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., Personal Support Worker, Gerontology)
- Registration with the Ontario Personal Support Worker Registry
- Previous experience working with older adults, particularly those living with dementia
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- 4% vacation entitlement
