Summer Employment Opportunities with the Ontario Public Service

Included in our Ontario Public Service summer employment opportunities is a position for a Policy and Programs Assistant. This role provides an exceptional chance to gain valuable work experience, enhance your skills, and build professional networks while making a meaningful contribution to the public service.

About the Role
This position will support a team in policy and/or program planning and delivery. Your responsibilities may include conducting research, performing analysis, and synthesizing information and data. You will also prepare and organize correspondence, perform data entry and word processing functions, and create a variety of documents. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to plan, organize, coordinate, and manage daily assigned work.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
• Be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution (currently or for the fall semester) OR have graduated within the past six months
• Be at least 15 years old with no maximum age limit
• Be a resident of Ontario during the term of employment
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada and have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) for the full duration of your summer employment

Location and Salary
This position is located in various cities across Ontario, with some locations accessible by public transit. The salary for this position is $18.05 per hour, commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications. As a temporary position, it is expected to last between May and July.
