We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk (Student / Co-Op) to contribute to our expanding team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and preparing financial transactions.
  • Reconciling transactions, budgets, and expense reports for monthly reviews.
  • Inputting data into the accounting system and updating Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assisting in the month-end closing process by updating various schedules and posting monthly close entries.
  • Managing company credit cards by obtaining and processing receipts.
  • Maintaining an organized and efficient filing system.
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly reporting packages.
  • Upholding confidentiality in all matters.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary accounting program.
  • Ability to work independently and follow up on requests effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to assess and prioritize situations, recognizing when supervisory input is needed.
  • Attention to detail and focus in an open office environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics and BisTrack software, or similar applications, is advantageous.
  • Accurate keyboarding skills.
