Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, including the entry and processing of accounts receivable payments. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate credit balances, addressing account discrepancies, and overseeing claims and adjustments related to accounts receivable. This position requires effective communication with customers to facilitate billing inquiries and ensure timely payment of invoices, as well as handling data entry for accounts payable transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and document receipts for various payment methods, including cash and credit.
  • Record and reconcile customer payments within the general ledger.
  • Update accounts receivable data for financial reporting.
  • Review and correct credit balances and billing records.
  • Balance daily accounts receivable batches and prepare income reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Investigate and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper approval for financial disbursements.
  • Prepare payments to third parties accurately.
  • Verify billing accuracy and address any errors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the RV or automotive sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations at both provincial and federal levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of financial records.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour
