We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk (Student / Co-Op) to enhance our expanding team. This position presents a valuable opportunity for aspiring professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and preparing financial transactions.
  • Reconciling transactions, budgets, and expense reports for monthly analysis.
  • Inputting data into the accounting system and updating Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assisting in the month-end closing process by updating various schedules and posting necessary entries.
  • Managing company credit card transactions and receipts.
  • Maintaining an organized and efficient filing system.
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly reporting packages.
  • Ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a post-secondary accounting program is required.
  • Ability to work independently and follow up on requests effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to assess situations and recognize when supervisory input is needed.
  • Attention to detail and focus in a collaborative office environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics and BisTrack software, or similar applications, is advantageous.
  • Accurate keyboarding skills are necessary.
