Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for executing data entry tasks and related functions for posting accounts receivable payments. This role includes managing credit balances and addressing account discrepancies. Additionally, the position involves processing claims, refunds, adjustments, and other financial transactions pertinent to accounts receivable management. The role requires effective communication with customers to provide billing information and facilitate timely invoice payments, along with data entry for disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to various entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record receipts for third-party payments via various payment methods.
  • Post and reconcile customer payments within the general ledger.
  • Document accounts receivable data for financial reports and statements.
  • Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, applying necessary corrections.
  • Balance daily accounts receivable batches and prepare income reports for management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve billing issues or misapplied payments.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for disbursements and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare payments to third parties accurately.
  • Ensure proper account charging for orders.
  • Review invoices for potential errors and discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the RV or automotive sector preferred
  • Familiarity with provincial and federal tax regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting software
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday
