Position Overview:
This position entails the orchestration, execution, co-development, and ongoing enhancement of technical training initiatives for Daimler Truck across Australia, specifically for our brands, Freightliner, Fuso, and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Collaborating within a dynamic team of enthusiastic, skilled, and technically adept trainers, you will play a vital role in the continuous professional development of personnel within our independent dealer network.
Located at our Training Academy, and reporting to the Training Academy Manager, your primary duties will include:
· Conducting product and technical training sessions, ensuring that the training is delivered in an engaging and effective manner to meet established learning goals, while adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
- Maintain training equipment and facilities to guarantee a safe and productive environment for participants.
· Collaborating with the training team to ensure consistent alignment, while also managing the administrative aspects of training records, reports, and accounts.
· Coordinating all necessary training resources, including venues, vehicles, materials, and travel arrangements, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
· Maximizing attendance in training sessions to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.
· Keeping communication channels open with global headquarters regarding current training methodologies; and
· Staying informed about industry trends and developing training strategies that incorporate innovative learning techniques.
Qualifications Ideal Candidate Profile:
To excel in this role, you should possess prior experience in delivering training, particularly in a product or technical context within the automotive sector. Experience in After Sales Retail as a technician is highly advantageous for career progression. A portion of the role will require travel to various locations within Australia and New Zealand for training delivery, necessitating a flexible approach. We also support flexible work arrangements, allowing for remote work when not traveling or directly engaged in training. A strong technical background and a valid truck and bus driving license are preferred.
You should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, essential for effective communication and presentation to external stakeholders at all management levels. Additionally, strong time management and decision-making skills are crucial, along with the capacity to address complex challenges under pressure.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and a keen interest in developing sustainable and personalized training programs are essential.
A high school diploma and tertiary qualifications in Automotive or Heavy Commercial Vehicle repair are preferred.
