Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at DSM. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of new and existing products according to a pre-determined operations plan by the hands-on operation of process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production processes.
- Troubleshoot process upsets and maintain equipment functionality to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Assist in the preparation of maintenance activities to ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Calculate and add materials into machines based on formula calculations to ensure accurate product formulation.
- Communicate effectively with team members to meet shift requirements and ensure seamless production operations.
- Adhere to safety regulations, site policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred.
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, 3 x 12 hours, evenings/weekends/holidays shifts.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- High degree of manual dexterity and good mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Close attention to detail, computer knowledge, problem-solving techniques, and basic math skills.
