Position Overview:

This position is pivotal in orchestrating, executing, co-designing, and enhancing technical training programs for Daimler Truck across Australia, focusing on our brands: Freightliner, Fuso, and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. As part of a collaborative team of dedicated and technically proficient trainers, you will play a vital role in the ongoing professional development of personnel within our independent dealer network.

Located at our Mulgrave Training Academy and reporting to the Training Academy Manager, your primary duties will include:

· Delivering engaging product and technical training sessions that meet established learning objectives, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.

  • Maintaining training equipment and facilities to provide a safe and efficient environment for participants.

· Collaborating with the training team to ensure consistency and alignment, while keeping training records, reports, and accounts meticulously updated.

· Coordinating all necessary training resources, including venues, vehicles, materials, and travel arrangements, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

· Maximizing participation in training sessions to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.

· Communicating regularly with global headquarters regarding current training methodologies.

· Staying informed about industry trends and developing training strategies that incorporate innovative learning techniques.

Candidate Profile

Ideal Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess prior experience in delivering training within a technical or product-oriented capacity in the automotive sector. Experience in After Sales Retail as a technician is highly advantageous. This role may require travel across Australia and New Zealand for training delivery, necessitating a flexible approach. We also support flexible work arrangements, allowing for remote work when not traveling or conducting training sessions.

Strong technical expertise, along with a valid truck and bus driving license, is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential for effective communication and presentation to external partners at all management levels. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent time management and decision-making abilities, with a proven capacity to address complex challenges under pressure.

A solid understanding of the Microsoft Office suite and a keen interest in developing sustainable, individualized training programs are essential.

A high school diploma and tertiary education in Automotive or Heavy Commercial Vehicle repair is preferred.

This is a permanent role, and candidates must possess a valid working visa for Australia or New Zealand.
