Position Overview:

This position entails the organization, execution, co-creation, and ongoing enhancement of technical training for Daimler Truck across Australia, specifically for our brands: Freightliner, Fuso, and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. You will work within a collaborative team of dedicated and technically skilled trainers, contributing to the continuous professional development of personnel within our independent dealer network.

Located at our Training Academy, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting product and technical training sessions, ensuring that they are engaging and effectively meet established learning objectives within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintaining training facilities and equipment to provide a safe and efficient environment for participants.
  • Collaborating with the training team to ensure consistency and accuracy in training records, reports, and administrative tasks.
  • Coordinating logistics for training courses, including venues, vehicles, materials, and travel arrangements, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maximizing participant enrollment in training sessions to optimize resource utilization.
  • Keeping abreast of global training concepts and communicating updates with headquarters.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and devising training strategies that incorporate innovative learning methodologies.
Candidate Profile

What We Seek:

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in delivering training, particularly in a technical or product-focused capacity within the automotive sector. Experience in After Sales Retail as a technician is advantageous and presents a significant opportunity for career advancement. The role may require travel across Australia and New Zealand for training delivery, necessitating a flexible approach. We also support flexible work arrangements, allowing for remote work when not traveling or conducting training sessions.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Strong technical expertise and a valid truck and bus driving license.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, crucial for effective communication and presentations to external stakeholders at all management levels.
  • Outstanding time management and decision-making skills, with the capacity to address complex challenges under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a keen interest in developing tailored training programs.
  • A high school diploma, with a preference for tertiary education in Automotive or Heavy Commercial Vehicle repair.
