Position Overview:

The primary focus of this position is to oversee, execute, co-create, and enhance the technical training initiatives for Daimler Truck across Australia, covering our brands: Freightliner, Fuso, and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. You will be part of a dynamic team of dedicated and technically proficient trainers, contributing to the ongoing professional development of personnel within our independent dealer network.

Located at our Training Academy, you will report directly to the Training Academy Manager. Your essential duties will include:

· Facilitating product and technical training sessions, ensuring that the training is engaging and meets established learning goals while adhering to budgetary constraints.

  • Overseeing the maintenance of training equipment and facilities to guarantee a safe and productive environment for participants.

· Collaborating with fellow trainers to ensure consistent alignment and maintaining up-to-date training records, reports, and administrative documentation.

· Coordinating logistics for training courses, including venue selection, vehicle arrangements, materials, and travel, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

· Maximizing participant enrollment in training sessions to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.

· Keeping abreast of global training developments and maintaining communication with headquarters regarding current training methodologies.

· Staying informed about industry trends and devising training strategies that incorporate innovative learning techniques.

Candidate Profile

Ideal Qualifications:

The successful candidate will ideally possess experience in delivering training within a technical or product-focused role in the automotive sector. Experience in After Sales Retail as a technician is highly regarded. This role may require travel across Australia and New Zealand for training delivery, necessitating a flexible approach. We also support flexible work arrangements, allowing for remote work when not engaged in training activities.

Strong technical expertise and a valid truck and bus driving license are preferred. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships are crucial for effective communication and presentation to partners at all management levels. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent time management and decision-making abilities, with a proven capacity to resolve complex issues under pressure.

A solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications and a keen interest in developing tailored training programs are essential.

A high school diploma and tertiary qualifications in Automotive or Heavy Commercial Vehicle repair are advantageous.

This is a permanent role, and candidates must possess a valid working visa for Australia or New Zealand.
