Job Overview

The Business Continuity division is responsible for establishing and upholding the MUFG Investor Services' standards and frameworks for Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Crisis Management (CM). These efforts are designed to optimize the organization's return on investment while ensuring unwavering client trust.

This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Director of Business Continuity Management and involves collaboration across various departments to enhance the current scenario testing program. This enhancement will allow the firm to continually evaluate risks and their corresponding mitigation strategies, while overseeing the comprehensive processes related to scenario testing.

Moreover, the selected candidate will collaborate with the existing Crisis Management team to assist during real-world events and training exercises, leveraging insights gained from scenario identification and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain the Location Emergency Management Team (EMT) manual along with business continuity plans.
  • Foster a risk-aware culture focused on resilience, continuity, and crisis management.
  • Oversee the execution of all Operational Resilience and Business Continuity testing requirements.
  • Create and maintain a library of scenarios, aligning them with both internally identified risks and externally published horizon scanning reports.
  • Establish an annual testing schedule that encompasses all Operational Resilience and Business Continuity testing needs.
  • Coordinate all pre-testing activities, including documentation, testing plans, and logistical requirements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate all testing activities, leading exercises as necessary.
  • Act as the primary contact for all Operational Resilience testing requirements, ensuring coordination across related testing activities within the organization.
  • Monitor the resolution of gaps and action plans identified from all operational resilience and business continuity tests.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for BCM and Operational Resilience for all employees, location EMTs, and BC coordinators.
  • Create and update user guides for BCM tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with problem management teams to implement permanent solutions based on identified root causes.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements related to risk management and BCP, as well as risk guidelines.
  • In-depth understanding of Business Continuity, Crisis Management, IT Disaster Recovery, and IT Service Management.
  • Familiarity with the fund administration sector.
  • Practical experience in risk assessment techniques, business impact analysis, BCP planning, and testing, with significant cross-experience in financial services or fund services.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with onboarding new systems or technologies are preferred.
  • Robust IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
