Job Description

The Business Continuity team is responsible for establishing and maintaining operational resilience, business continuity management (BCM), and crisis management (CM) standards and frameworks. This role ensures the business maximizes its return on investment and maintains client confidence.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director, Business Continuity Management, you will collaborate across the organization to enhance the existing scenario testing program. You will be responsible for end-to-end processes for scenario testing, partnering with the Crisis Management function to support crisis teams during real-world events and exercises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Location Emergency Management Team (EMT) manuals and business continuity plans.
  • Promote a risk culture focused on resilience, continuity, and crisis management.
  • Manage the delivery of all Operational Resilience and Business Continuity testing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a scenario library aligned with internally identified risks and vulnerabilities, as well as externally published horizon scanning reports.
  • Create an annual testing schedule covering all Operational Resilience and Business Continuity testing requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-testing activities, including scoping documentation, testing plans, logistical requirements, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Facilitate all testing activities, including leading exercises where appropriate.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Operational Resilience testing requirements, coordinating support across related testing activities within the business (disaster recovery, cybersecurity, etc.).
  • Track closure of gaps and action plans identified from all operational resilience and business continuity tests.
  • Develop and maintain BCM and Operational Resilience training materials for all employees, location EMTs, and location BC coordinators.
  • Develop and maintain user guides for BCM tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with problem management teams to drive permanent resolutions based on identified root causes.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for risk management and BCP, as well as risk requirements and guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of Business Continuity Management (BCM), Crisis Management (CM), and Operational Resilience principles.
  • Experience in developing and executing scenario testing programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
