About the Role

As a key member of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) team, the Director of Business Banking will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to a team of Senior Managers and Team Leaders to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
  • Business Development: Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing relationships.
  • Partnership and Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions and drive business growth.
  • Strategic Thinker: Lead the execution of strategies and tactics to grow the Business Banking business, improve the client experience, and build relationships with clients and prospective clients.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and controls to maintain a strong reputation and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business and personal credit principles, cash and treasury management knowledge, and experience in credit management and knowledge of Business Banking credit strategy and adjudication methodologies.
  • Leadership and People Management: Proven leadership and people management skills to lead a team within an assigned area to achieve strategic, business, and financial plans.
  • Business Development Expertise: Strong business development expertise to establish, grow, and sustain long-term relationships with Business Banking clients.
  • Education: Business degree required.
